Reflection 9/27

 Today in class we went over how to deal with argumentative prompts, reviewed logos, pathos, ethos and read the book “fences.”

18. Write about a question you wished you asked

 I was in the 3rd grade and was one of the biggest trouble makers of my grade. Me and my homeroom teacher did not get along, she had proven to me she was still a small minded person and in many ways disrespectful to me as a human being so I treated her the same. I got in enough trouble to be labeled as a "bad kid". One week we had an upcoming field trip and I was excited for it, paid my money and all, got my permission slip signed and was ready to go. Well the day of, I guess I got in too much trouble that week and they told me the day of, right before the field trip that I couldn't go. I was mad, so mad I got in more trouble, acting out of anger and digging a deeper hole.

Bell ringer 8/29

Based on the video, I think the probability of life outside of earth is high, there’s no way earth is the only planet that has life on it. My reaction to seeing the earth from the surface of mars was normal, it looked cool and interesting. My reaction to hearing the sound of a black hole was that I was surprised, sounded like something I’ve heard before. Hearing the black hole did make me think though, like how do we know if we’re going to meet it or what exactly happens inside?.. This puts my life in a perspective in a way of its way much more space and larger out there, and from another planet or from space in general, we’re small.

Reflection 10/3

 Today in class we started off by remembering a time our mom or grandmother told us something valuable and what situation it was. Mine being to basically, not always having to have a response. We also analyzed two poems, making connections and annotating lines as we read. We closed by creating a total of 5/2 themes for the stories we read.
